The Capital City Pilots project, led by Innovate Edmonton in partnership with the City of Edmonton, invites entrepreneurs with innovative solutions pilot their products on city-owned assets to benefit the community, create jobs, and achieve sustainability. 

Your Opportunity:

  • Reporting to the Head of Capital City Pilots, the Administrative Coordinator, Capital City Pilots will support all administration of the Capital City Pilots program including organizing reporting, project documentation, and other admin activities. The successful candidate is comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders and is an ad hoc solutions-based trouble-shooter.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • Promotes an equitable, diverse, and inclusive work environment, and contributes to Innovate Edmonton’s ongoing pursuit of Reconciliation.
  • Provides general administrative support, to overall Capital City Pilots activities, supporting a smooth functioning, efficient organization.
  • Supports the maintenance of database for information storage and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures sensitive company information is handled appropriately, and with discretion, maintaining a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Reviews and prepares documentation, reports, and other correspondence materials for the Capital City Pilots team.
  • Courteously receives and screens in-bound calls, emails, and visitors, where applicable.
  • Assists with report and presentation preparations.
  • Accommodates working outside regular hours, and opportunities for travel, where required. 
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Your Credentials:

  • Post-secondary degree (or directly related administrative experience equivalency; 1-year of experience for 1-year of education). 
  • Excels in a start-up environment with flat organizational structure and strong team collaboration. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in digital applications.
  • Passion for innovation and entrepreneurship will be an asset.
  • Innovator by nature.
